The sooty molybdenite generally requires assistance from xanthate for floating. The main loss of molybdenite in the cleaner circuit normally appears to be due to overgrinding. Over 60% of the losses are routinely in the minus 37 µm (400 mesh) fraction of the Scavenger Tailing.
